Strawberry Picking Time

Image
Hi, Thanks for stopping by. Today I am sharing a layout created for the Scrap Our Stash Challenge . My daughter loves strawberries so I  decided to take the family strawberry picking!  It was everyone's first time strawberry picking! The first is always the best and I am glad I was able to try it with my family. It was a great experience and we thoroughly enjoyed the strawberries.  Here is my layout, I used a ribbon and sun for some circular objects.

Hi, thanks for stopping by today.  March just flew by and I was able to squeeze in a layout this month.  I am joining the challenge over at Scrap Our Stash this month.  Thank you Scrap Our Stash for the inspirations and the challenges every month.  I wanted to share that I was very lucky to be the winner of last month's challenge at Scrap Our Stash!  I love the sketch this month so I had to make sure I took time to work on the layout.  I definitely was able to use some of my stash from years ago.  The challenge was to include some stars, I used some of my star brads on the layout. Check it out.  Here is the sketch this month

Hi, Thanks for stopping by today.  I am having fun playing along with Scrap with Stacy and Rochelle Spears this month with the February sketch. This is the sketch I am playing with in February. This is my take on the sketch.  For the BINGO challenge, I have used gold (gold lettering on the banner), arrow and staples. I love creating pages with bright colors, I naturally gravitate to these bright colors! As always, please help me by answering my question of the day.  QUESTION: Do you tend to gravitate toward a specific color scheme? Do you choose what colors to use based on the colors in the photo?  If not, how do you choose the paper colors?

Love You

Thank you for stopping by. I really enjoyed the challenge this month over at Scrap Our Stash Challenge .  For this challenge, I added different hearts all over, some were sewed on. Also did some fussy cutting  for the border. It was a fun, quick and easy layout to put together.

Last minute layout to get in before January ends.  I created this layout for the Rochelle Spears Sketch Challenge and the Scrap with Stacy Tic Tac Toe Challenge .   I used Banner, Date Stamp and Twine on my layout for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

You Color My World

Image
I created this layout for the challenge over at Rochelle Spears and Scrap with Stacy blogs. The inspiration for my layout is Bob Ross! Found the perfect Vicki Boutin ephemeras and a light bulb just turned on. Of course the vision in my head and the reality was slightly different. The layout took longer than I expected because I had no idea how to work the water colors but this is the best that I can do.   Thanks for stopping by!    Entering this layout to the following challenges: Rochelle Spears - Sketch Challenge Scrap with Stacy - I used square photos, I used a ticket punch for the fortune from the fortune cookie, I used stitching in my layout.

Orienteering

Image
Hi, thanks for stopping by, it's been awhile since I have updated my blog.  I was able to get some scrapbooking time in this weekend.  Today's layout is created for Challenge YOUrself blog #107. This month's challenge is to show some handwritten journaling. It was a bit of challenge I don't like my handwriting. LOL.  I didn't have much time to create the layout because October had been a very busy month but it came together fairly quickly.  I think it was because even though I didn't have much time to work on it, I was envisioning it in my head.  I took some inspiration from a magazine I saw awhile back.  The first photo is my inspiration, I wanted to create a tear across effect as if you are unfolding a secret word. I attempted to do that with my title.   In case you cannot read my handwriting, the photo was from an orienteering event with my son's Boy Scout troop.  My son needed to attend the even to complete his requirement for Boy Scout,...

It's Time to Travel

Image
Hi All, thanks for stopping by!  Today's layout is created for the Challenge YOUrself challenge #102 and the challenge was to use a mood board.  The mood was a beachy vibe and it reminded me of a girl's trip to Cancun. The layout was simple, just grabbed a bunch of travel embellishments and lined my page and it all just came together!  This was super easy, everyone should give it a try! Join us over at Challenge YOUrself for  some fun!

This is another layout made this past weekend. Super quick to put together thanks to the awesome sketch from the Scrap Our Stash Challenge ! I was looking forward to scrapping some more this weekend but it looks like I may not have time.  =(     Here in this photo my husband who is super excited to be with his nephew!  For the challenge I added some stamping on the page, not very good at stamping or mixed media so I keep it at a minimal.  Will be more adventurous hopefully this summer! I am also entering this layout to the Lasting Memories Challenge and the challenge is "Something Blue".  I have used different hues of blue in my layout.  Thanks for stopping by, please drop me a comment!

Super Duper

I am so happy I was able to get a few layouts in this weekend.  It's been awhile since I have created multiple layouts in a weekend.  The layout today is for a photo we took at Dave and Buster's in North Carolina, who would have known that it would be the last time we would ever be able to go to that Dave and Buster location.  The building has since been knocked down and Dave and Busters has relocated.  I am playing along with the challenge from Rochelle Spears and I was happy with how my layout turned out until I tried to add some color to get some water color look. I decided to also to play along with Stacy's BINGO challenge.  I used a wood tag, two word title and stars on my layout.  I decided to add stamped stars to my layout but I needed some color. I had limited supplies and did not have my water color supplies because I am in the process of moving so everything was boxed away.  I had to improvise and the only thing I had were Crayola markers, an...

Love Outdoors

Image
Hi, Thanks for stopping by to check out my site.  Today's layout is created for the Challenge YOUrself Challenge #101. The challenge is to create a page of something you love.  Here is a photo of me camping out on a beautiful night with the Boy Scouts.  I am in my own tent and very cozy in my sleeping bag.  The weather was just perfect for camping!   For this layout I used paper from a paper pad from Hobby Lobby. It had the perfect outdoor theme I was looking for.  I did some tearing and added layers along with embellishments.   As you can see, I don't have a particular style to my scrapbooking. I just love to try everything!  Just have fun with it.  Join us for some over at Challenge YOUrself!

Playtime

Hi Everyone, Thank you stopping by to check out my layout.  Today's layout is designed for the Challenge YOUrself Challenge #99.  The challenge this month is to create a layout with your pet. In 2021, many people were getting pets due to the pandemic.  My son had wanted a dog but I know how much is involved with having a dog!  I offered to get him a smaller pet and we ended up adopting a hamster from another family who was not able to take care of him anymore.   Meet Harry, he is a new member to our family, and he is very friendly.  My husband who is not much of an animal lover has definitely grown to love him.  He does not require too much maintenance which worked out for me.  For this layout I picked a paper that already had the background and I just needed to add some embellishments here and there. A very simple layout to put together.  Thanks for stopping by!  Please join us over at Challenge YOUrself for some fun!   ...

Magical Moments

Image
Hello All, Today I am posting a layout created using the Lasting Memories Challenge LM#584 and Disney Creative Company February Colors of Magic Challenge.  I just love when I have a vision as soon as I see a challenge, it just makes things so much easier!  When I saw the color challenge, I knew right away which photos I had wanted to scrap.  Looking at the Lasting Memories sketch just completed my layout idea. The final touch was when I saw the border on the LM sketch and I thought of the Queen of Hearts like a deck of cards!  This is my final creation!  Thanks for stopping by!  Question for my visitors: Do you scrap based on the colors of a photo to match with the papers you use?  I am entering this layout to the following challenges:  LM #584 Colors of Magic

Game On!

Hi All! Happy New Year!  It's been quite awhile since I have posted, there has been so much going on.  Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my blog.   Some VERY exciting news to share with everyone, I have been selected to be part of the ChallengeYOUrself Design Team for 2022!  So very honored to be part of this wonderful and creative team!  Hope to be an inspiration for some of you out there!   Here is my layout for January and the Challenge is to create a layout with a theme "working together".  My layout shows my family playing Overcooked: All You Can Eat.   If you have never played Overcooked, you should head out and grab that game!  It is a teamwork game where you work in a kitchen of a restaurant and the task is to prepare/serve up orders.  Each person is a chef in the kitchen and should have 1 or more tasks. I remember the first time playing that game, there were tons of screaming and yelling an...
