Orienteering

Hi, thanks for stopping by, it's been awhile since I have updated my blog.  I was able to get some scrapbooking time in this weekend.  Today's layout is created for Challenge YOUrself blog #107. This month's challenge is to show some handwritten journaling. It was a bit of challenge I don't like my handwriting. LOL.

I didn't have much time to create the layout because October had been a very busy month but it came together fairly quickly.  I think it was because even though I didn't have much time to work on it, I was envisioning it in my head.  I took some inspiration from a magazine I saw awhile back.  The first photo is my inspiration, I wanted to create a tear across effect as if you are unfolding a secret word. I attempted to do that with my title.

In case you cannot read my handwriting, the photo was from an orienteering event with my son's Boy Scout troop.  My son needed to attend the even to complete his requirement for Boy Scout, he was paired off with some boys to complete 1 course.  It seemed like fun so I decided I wanted to try out a course also.  I teamed up with another parent who was also interested in trying out orienteering.  We got lost but managed to get to all the checkpoints in the end. It was fun, like a scavenger hunt!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you to be creative today! Come play along with us at Challenge YOUrself!
