Crafty Pastime

 Hi All! Happy New Year!  It's been quite awhile since I have posted, there has been so much going on.  Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my blog.   Some VERY exciting news to share with everyone, I have been selected to be part of the ChallengeYOUrself Design Team for 2022!  So very honored to be part of this wonderful and creative team!  Hope to be an inspiration for some of you out there!   Here is my layout for January and the Challenge is to create a layout with a theme "working together".  My layout shows my family playing Overcooked: All You Can Eat.   If you have never played Overcooked, you should head out and grab that game!  It is a teamwork game where you work in a kitchen of a restaurant and the task is to prepare/serve up orders.  Each person is a chef in the kitchen and should have 1 or more tasks. I remember the first time playing that game, there were tons of screaming and yelling an...

For my second layout this weekend, I found these two photos of my kids and their cousins.  This is a then and now scrapbook layout.  I can't believe how quickly the kids have grown.  I played along with Rochelle Spears and Scrap with Stacy's Tic Tac Toe Challenge.   I am entering this layout to the following Challenges: Rochelle Spears  May Sketch Challenge Stacy's Tic Tac Toe : I used twine, stickers and enamel for the challenge.  Lasting Memories : Challenge #546

 Hi Everyone, It's been awhile since I have had a chance to scrapbook. It is busy season at work so I have not had time to scrapbook as much as I would have loved to.  I was able to work on two layouts this weekend!   The first layout here is using a Scrap Your Stash sketch.  I played along with the sketch and used the Challenge YOUrself theme to create the layout.  At Challenge YOURself, the theme was "put your best face forward", meaning to show off your best side. To me the best side of me is when I am with my better half.   My kids always say I am the homework mom and dad is the fun dad.  My husband is the one that shows me how to live my life in a most youthful way. I am so thankful that we complement each other.  I do need that balance between being serious and having fun.  So my best face forward is with my husband! Hi All! Scrapbooking has slowed down for me as we get into busy season at work.  Today I am sharing a challenge that I have been working on. I created this layout for the ChallengeYOUrself March Challenge. I absolutely loved this challenge because it allowed me to showcase everything that I love and who I am.  I was able to have fun with just throwing things on that I love.  Can you tell how much I love bright colors???  The sunflower gave me trouble and seems to be out of place, but I couldn't help but add it on since it is my favorite flower.  Thanks for stopping by!  Question for my visitors: Do you scrapbook one page at a time or do you scrapbook multiple pages at a time? Before sharing my layout today, I want to share with you some exciting news. I think in February I may have been on fire with my scrapbooking.  I was pumping those pages out, in the end, hard work pays off.  First, I was selected as Top 3 over at Lasting Memories . YAY! So happy and grateful. I was also the random winner for two challenges, Challenge YOUrself and Scrap with Stacy .  YAY! More goodies to play with and techniques to try.  Today's layout is a page of my two buddies and me. Love hanging out with them, lots of laugh and enjoyable moments.  This layout is based on the sketch over at Lasting Memories.  I had made paper kits last week with my stash and this was what was in my kit so I stuck to it. I had no idea what I was going to do at first but as I looked at my papers in the kit.
