 Today I worked on a sketch from Lasting Memories.  



This is my take on the sketch.  As always, I have a question for my visitors:

QUESTION:  I am always having some trouble with layering, I try so many different pieces before I can finally settle.  Is there a technique or trick to layering clusters you can share?

    Beautiful layout and great take on the sketch! I'm not much help on the layering advice other than just keep trying things and practicing. If you have say 3 clusters - vary the size of them or the amount of items in each - like a bigger cluster could have say 5 different pieces in it, then another has 3 pieces, and the last mayber just one item.     Love your question. I like to double and triple mat photos, layer paper in the background and use bits and pieces in clusters. For clusters I like to have a variety of depths. ( flat stickers/ Die cuts, puffy stickers/ chipboard or elements popped up on foam. Also I try to make sure that each element in the cluster is touching or overlapping another

Hi All! Scrapbooking has slowed down for me as we get into busy season at work.  Today I am sharing a challenge that I have been working on. I created this layout for the ChallengeYOUrself March Challenge. I absolutely loved this challenge because it allowed me to showcase everything that I love and who I am.  I was able to have fun with just throwing things on that I love.  Can you tell how much I love bright colors???  The sunflower gave me trouble and seems to be out of place, but I couldn't help but add it on since it is my favorite flower.  Thanks for stopping by!  Question for my visitors: Do you scrapbook one page at a time or do you scrapbook multiple pages at a time?  Hi Everyone, It's been awhile since I have had a chance to scrapbook. It is busy season at work so I have not had time to scrapbook as much as I would have loved to.  I was able to work on two layouts this weekend!   The first layout here is using a Scrap Your Stash sketch.  I played along with the sketch and used the Challenge YOUrself theme to create the layout.  At Challenge YOURself, the theme was "put your best face forward", meaning to show off your best side. To me the best side of me is when I am with my better half.   My kids always say I am the homework mom and dad is the fun dad.  My husband is the one that shows me how to live my life in a most youthful way. I am so thankful that we complement each other.  I do need that balance between being serious and having fun.  So my best face forward is with my husband! Hello All, Today I am posting a layout created using the Lasting Memories Challenge LM#584 and Disney Creative Company February Colors of Magic Challenge.  I just love when I have a vision as soon as I see a challenge, it just makes things so much easier!  When I saw the color challenge, I knew right away which photos I had wanted to scrap.  Looking at the Lasting Memories sketch just completed my layout idea. The final touch was when I saw the border on the LM sketch and I thought of the Queen of Hearts like a deck of cards!  This is my final creation!  Thanks for stopping by!  Question for my visitors: Do you scrap based on the colors of a photo to match with the papers you use?  I am entering this layout to the following challenges:  LM #584 Colors of Magic
